Carvings from The Interlake.

The photo is a 12 foot White Spruce Viking that was carved over 3 months in 2008. He stands at Grindstone Provincial Park to greet visitors. He is aging well.

These are just a few of the carvings I've done over the years. I've worked from my Studio/cottage in the Hecla/Grindstone Provincial Park area situated on  Lake Winnipeg for 16 years. This is home to many Icelanders who live in nearby towns such as Gimli, Riverton and Arborg. I now work from my home in Winnipeg and have done so for several years, so the transition has been seamless.  If you have an idea for a carving I would be happy to discuss the possibilities with you. Please keep in mind that my carvings will age naturally and if put outside will take on an aged patina over time. I presently have several of my pieces on permanent display at -
The New Iceland Heritage Museum in Gimli, Manitoba . http://www.nihm.ca/
